Join representatives from Slow Food Maui for Taste Education—a tasting event that allows you to enjoy and learn about food locally grown on Maui—on Saturday, July 10 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Ali’i Kula Lavender.
Cost $5.00 for adults and children 10 and older to sample, one time each, from four taste stations offering varieties of tomatoes, beef, lettuces, and jams & jellies.

Slow Food Maui is having its first fundraiser and membership drive on Saturday, June 26, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Whole Foods Maui in Kahului.
What is slow food? It’s everything fast food isn’t. It’s about fresh ingredients, locally grown food and sustainable culinary practices.
The menu includes:
Grilled Fresh Fish Burgers on fresh baked bun or Grilled Maui Cattle Co. Burger
Homemade Asian Coleslaw
Sweet potato fries
Beverage
Cost: $8.00
Come and bring family and friends and order lunch and sit outside in the Maui sun or under the Whole Foods Maui umbrellas. Order lunch to go and deliver it to your office. 100% of the proceeds will go to Slow Food Maui.
